Tucson's technical benchmark: rock ledges, loose climbs and the 'Step' on the way to the gap between the Catalina foothills and the San Pedro side. Big-bike riders walk sections; it's a different ride on a 250–500. Start from Golder Ranch Road in Oro Valley. Not a camping route, a skills day.
