Rougher back way from Young south along Cherry Creek under the Sierra Ancha cliffs to SR 288 north of Globe. Rocky creek crossings, shelf road, cliff dwellings visible from the road. Dispersed camping along the creek. Rarely graded; this is the ride for people who find SR 288 too easy.
