Crosses the Chiricahuas from the National Monument side over Onion Saddle (7,600 ft) and down into Cave Creek Canyon at Portal. Graded, one steep rocky stretch below the saddle; snow closes it in winter. Rustler Park and Pinery Canyon campgrounds up high, Sunny Flat at Portal. Add Rucker Canyon (FR 74) to the south for a full weekend. Some of the best sky-island riding in the state.
