State scenic road that climbs from the desert at Roosevelt Lake to pines above Young, with a long unpaved middle through the Sierra Ancha. Graded, washboard, big views over the Salt River canyon country. Young has a gas pump and the Antlers Cafe. Continue north on FR 512 (Colcord Road) to Heber or east on Cherry Creek Road for a loop.
