Graded county dirt from Florence to the Gila River at Kelvin, passing the Box Canyon turnoff and the Cochran coke ovens side trip (rough, worth it). Fast washboard, open desert. Pair with SR 177 to Superior and the Hewitt Station road for a full loop out of the East Valley.
