Great Western Trail: Arizona
Statewide · Kaibab → Mexico
Intermediate
| Distance | ~800 mi |
| Duration | Multi-day |
| Camping | Multi-day |
The older, rougher cousin of the AZBDR: a north–south corridor of forest and BLM roads through the Kaibab, Coconino, Prescott, Tonto and Coronado forests. Less signed and less documented than the BDR, which is the point. The Williams–Bill Williams Mountain and Prescott NF segments are the easiest to sample as day rides. Expect to navigate; track files from the AZ Great Western Trail association.
Map & Navigation
Markers are reference waypoints (start, finish, and key points) not a turn-by-turn track. Ride with real GPS tracks and offline maps; "(approx)" points are close, not exact.
