The classic Arizona moto-camp: graded forest road hugging the edge of the Rim from SR 87 to SR 260 with 1,500-ft drop-offs off the shoulder. Easy riding, 7,500 ft elevation, cool in summer. Dispersed camping everywhere along the edge; Knoll and Bear Canyon lakes for water. Stage fire restrictions are common June–July. Check Coconino/Apache-Sitgreaves NF. Best May–October.
